Since then, hundreds of studios across the world have popped up. They began printing with digital duplicators in the mid-1980s offering a means for inexpensive publishing of prints, artist books, and zines. One of the first studios to spearhead the Riso movement was Knust Press, based out of the Netherlands. As a focused software with features specific to the needs of artists, producing work for screen print production has never been faster or easier.
SEPARATION STUDIO 4 OUTPUT PRINTING REGISTRATION
Many Riso studios, including Risolve, began in a living room or apartment. When printing screen-printed separations, you can add your own custom registration marks on the page so you can control where they are on the output. Due to its affordability and small footprint, Riso became an easy way for artists and designers to produce their own work and publish work for others. Risographs took hold of the international art and design community almost four decades ago. If you use the registration color for these marks it will show up on each separation without having to change the color.
